Thats not my understanding of their religion. I understood that they believe in Christ yet require works, as without works, is the faith real? I will say this. I've never had nicer neighbors in my life than the mormons who lived next door in Yukon when I was a teen.

So they believe in additional disciples who were present in the "Americas" in the centuries prior to the European settlers. Who am I to judge them. So they're like Hulu, and believe in Jesus Christ +++. I'd rather have them for neighbors than a bunch of seculars who think gender is fluid, socialism is good, and that we all should sacrifice for the greater good because in the next 100 years the oceans might rise and flood the Obama compound.

But hey, that's just me.

The Book of Mormon is fake without history or archeological evidence to support it's wild historical claims.

They believe that all Mormons will eventually become gods and will Lord over their own planets, and will make spirit babies with their celestial wives for all eternity.

High suicide rate among Mormon women. I don't have the time to get into why I suspect that's the case.

Their salvation is tied to them performing good Mormon works, not faith in the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross.

Yes, they are very nice to people like you and I. That's great. I'd much rather have a Mormon neighbor than a Muslim or even some professing Christians.

Mormonism is certainly compatible with western culture, whereas Islam decidedly isn't.

What makes Mormonism a cult is their Christology.

Historical Christianity teaches that Jesus was not only the Son of God, but that He is God.

As one noted theologian said, "A Savior that isn't quite God, can't quite save."

Reject the historical and biblical doctrine re: the deity of Jesus Christ, and your group will be labeled as a cult.

That's why the LDS is categorized as a cult, despite their protestations and attempts to call themselves "Christian." They have a whole set of abhorrent teachings that fall outside of Christianity.

They of course know this. They might as well be honest about it.

I must say, what I just put together is pretty impressive, considering I did it all during my morning bathroom time.
