So Im pretty sure I screwed up my DirectX, is there any way to complete reinstall it without the start up disk? I think the dsetup.dll file was deleted.

I hate this crap.

Just shoot me now. Doesn't matter what I do, I always get the same error message:

An internal System error has occured.
Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your windows folder to determine the problem.

I've searched the internet and can't find any simple solution.

Try running a dxdiag.

Not sure if that gives log details, but it's easy to run. Just type "dxdiag" in your run/search bar.

I fixed it, not really sure how but after messing around in my Regedit I basically just added back in the DirectX file and then put in an older copy of the program and forced the system to update itself.

Scared me too :) I was just so fed up that I was willing to try.
