Have been out of town all week and got home yesterday around 3. Spent the next 6 hours chopping down our trees in the front and back yard, finished as much as I could around 9 and called it a night.
Check my phone this morning to see the final stats from the football games last night and I see the basketball game showed up in my favorites....
Obviously I didn't watch the game, but I just checked some details. How in the hell, even with how terrible of a program we now have, did we lose to a Missouri State team, at home, that has roughy three 3-stars and a bunch of chops who no one wanted? Might as well just pick off their coach and see what he can do. Lusk has been at Mo. State for 3 years less than Ford has been in Stillwater...
If a school with the resources, talent, and infrastructure (or lack thereof for all 3) can come in and run circles around us, this program is in a deeper hole than I ever realized. Losing to Tulsa sucked bad enough bc I actually tortured myself to watch the game. Losing to mid level teams happens every so often, especially since it's a rivalry. Losing to teams like Mo. State should never, ever happen. But it did, at home, in front of abt 1k fans from what I was told.
This program is now further down the crapper than where Sean and Eddie left it. If it's going to take a decade to restore and resemble a once-proud program, let's get baseball going first.
Let Ford be a lame duck for the next 2-3 years and hope he saves his career and takes another job elsewhere. Can't imagine he'll ever get another P5 job if he lives out this contract. he may latch on to something if he left on his own.
