DeSantis has the makings to be a great President for the country but he wouldn't have the leftists melting down in the streets like Trump would. Trump would fix the economy, get Putin back in check, secure the border, solve the supply chain issues and have the stock market roaring again all while providing great entertainment verbally abusing the press and driving the left nuts. The DeSantis takes over for 8 years. I would consider that winning.

Clearly the January 6 hearings are having a negative effect for Trump among Republican voters. The more that comes to light regarding the role Trump and his administration played on January 6, the more support rises among Republicans for someone other than Trump to be their nominee in '24.

As for DeSantis, he needs to worry more about getting reelected Governor of Florida in November. Three of the last five polls (including the last two) in Florida have Crist beating DeSantis.
