Defunding the police: Here’s what’s going to happen

Many police officers will either quit their departments or be laid off. Then, suburban cities and other nice areas will hire these former cops to act as security officials. The big cities, after skyrocketing rises in crime, will then cry that the rich suburbanites have better law enforcement and claim that it’s white entitlement and claim racism.

Can't argue with that except to point out that suburban and rural communities will have a deep pool of already qualified applicants to choose from.

The big cities are going to have to defund the police. With the economic shutdowns they've enforced curtailing sales taxes, plus the fleeing population causing property values to fall, the tax bases of these cities are crumbling. Cuts are coming, and the "defund the police" movement gives political cover to the libs when they do so.

Millennials will continue to go to the inner cities and gentrify them before getting married and realizing that it’s not a safe place to raise kids and move out to the suburbs where it’s safe with good schools. In other words, the same thing will happen that’s happened since the ‘50s

It’s happening everywhere. World Geography classes in Texas teach about it (gentrification). I have to admit, until about 10 years ago, I had never heard of it.
