D-Day book.....

D-Day: The Battle for Normandy, by Anthony Beevor. This guy has written a lot of amazing WWII books and his book on the Spanish Civil War is the best have ever read about the subject.

Decision in Normandy - Carlo D Este (one of my favorites)

If Chaos Reigns: The Near Disaster and Ultimate Triumph of the Allied Airborne Forces on D-Day June 6, 1944 - Flint Whitlock (he has also written about the 45th INF DIV)

JUNO BEACH: CANADA'S D-DAY VICTORY JUNE 6TH, 1944 - Mark Zuehlke (ostensibly all the Canadians were volunteers)

NORMANDY '44: D-DAY AND THE EPIC 77-DAY BATTLE FOR FRANCE - James Holland (written many great books on WWII also like Sicily 43)

SURRENDER INVITES DEATH: FIGHTING THE WAFFEN SS IN NORMANDY - John A English

Overlord: D-Day and the Battle for Normandy - Max Hastings (also wrote a very good book on Korean War)

Normandie Front - D-Day to St-Lo Through a Germans Eyes - Vince Milano & Bruce Conner

D-Day - Piercing the Atlantic Wall - Robert Kershaw (another amazing author of many war themed books)

The Devil's Garden - Rommel's Desperate Defense of Omaha beach on D-Day - Steve Zaloga (he has written extensively on the easter Front during WWII)

I would also pick up a good atlas that gives a good overview of each operation after D-Day. like The D-Day Atlas: Anatomy of the Normandy Campaign by Charles Messenger.

Good luck!
