1. Take a look at the headline and then read the details of the press release. 195 actual producers of child porn or actual committors of child abuse. The rest were traders/possessors of child porn. No statement of a cabal or group action or passing around kids. No salacious details. Most child pornography collectors/possessors are solitary individuals on-line. Not real riveting without more. All these are horrible crimes, no doubt, but without a local angle/local victim/local arrestee, that press release isn’t exactly a channel turning headline grabbing salacious ratings grabber.

Where it does become that is when there is a local connection...local victim, local arrestee, local agency, etc. I don’t know about you, but I see those types of reports all the time. I field information requests from local media regarding our ICAC investigations on a weekly basis. Just about every single time our ICAC Unit goes out on a search warrant and even more so an arrest warrant, the local media reports it. Media has been AT and reporting from our arrests while we were doing the takedown on at least two occasions this month (we may or may not have given them a heads’ up advance notice). I would suggest to you that if you can’t concede that local child porn/child abuse (sexual and physical) iscovered....like A LOT...you are being willfully blind to it.

2. 195 child abusers/child porn producers across the nation caught from a three month concentrated task force of individual state ICAC Task Forces doesn’t get national coverage for some of the same reasons 100s of murders on Chicago’s southside don’t get regular national coverage...it’s not a ratings grabber when you are just talking about the aggregate numbers. It’s only when there is that personal angle or the local connection that it becomes a ratings generator.

3. Now look at the end of the press release...the direction to refer questions regarding individual cases to the respective individual State ICAC Task Force Commanders. Everything I said about local coverage is BY DESIGN of the DOJ ICAC system. It’s in the MOUs signed between state ICAC Units and the feds. A decision was made at some point that the only way we as a nation were going to get serious about combating internet crimes against children was if the threat was made personal and local. All ICAC grants have a required child and parent outreach and education element in them. The feds refer questions regarding such arrests to the local ICAC Task forces whom have established relations with local media. The local ICAC Units get (rightfully so IMO...they’re doing the real work on these cases) the credit and praise locally. That leads to opportunities to request and obtain more local and appropriations and earmarks for the work.

So, IMO, that is some of the reasons...the primary reasons... the majority of the coverage of ICAC offenses is local in nature rather than national.

Not a cover-up, not a Hollywood scandle of epic proportions, not a left wing threat to our children, not Pizza-gate, not an international or interstate organized cabal of child trading pedophiles working together (that last one has happened a few times, and it sure as hell made national news).

Also, I have to be in Antlers, OK by 9:30a in the morning to crush an opposing lawyer that has no clue how to expunge an arrest record. I should have been asleep well before I even started the magnum opus of logic, reason, and insider knowledge I have dropped on you. :p I will, however, revisit the thread when I can to see if you requested or needed any further enlightenment.

All bets are off starting Friday though....World Cup starts in earnest then and this globalist member of the state deep state in Oklahoma took the day off to imbibe and watch.

You as far away from being a true red piller as you could possibly be.

You are an intellectual lightweight.

Memes are for simple minded, attention deficit suffering, bro-flakes like you desperate for easily digestible spoonfed narratives that don’t take too much brain power or critical thinking to process.

You are the very definition of a blue piller.

quick question JD...how long does it typically take to expunge a record...general question and general answer will work. Asking for a friend.

22 OS 18 = have to meet one of those qualification to Petition court for expungement

22 OS 19 = procedure to Petition which includes at least 30 Days notice and opportunity to object.

Once you get an order from the court and submit it to the OSBI with the statutory fee, administratively it takes them anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks to get if off the arrest record.

991c = An “expungement” after successful completion of a deferred sentence applies only to court records (not arrest record), but does result in an updated disposition of “pled not guilty, case dismissed” there if the OSBI receives a certified copy of the order from someone.

Just one week ago, there was another massive raid in Atlanta.

Don't think the story got any national news coverage, other than possibly a few links online. Nothing on cable TV, and the story basically disappeared from the radar.

Why?

Read the local news article:

For comparison:

Read my original post and you’ll know why.

I’d bet it was covered extensively in...wait for it...Atlanta...where you know...the raids occurred, the victims reside, and the local ICAC Task Force is the point of contact.

I’d like you to go on record with answering your own question. Why do you think? Exercise some critical thinking and analysis of your own instead of repeatedly spamming the memes you are fed. Are you still holding to your prior claims of a vast leftist cabal working together to destroy America through its children...a massive Pizzagate?

Btw, the Pushmataha County Courthouse is a craphole. Doesn’t even have wi-fi. I’m burning up massive amounts of personal cellular data right now waiting for the Judge.

A District Court Judge job in one of these little outlier counties would be awesome though. A single weekly docket and not much else to do...basically God of the county. Thinking I made some wrong career moves not to have one of these already though there is no way I could live in Atlers/Guymon/etc myself.

I’m not “fed” anything (don’t know where you came up with that idea), and I also don’t claim to know everything. There’s a lot I don’t know, but I notice a lot, and I’m always researching and learning.

There’s a lady on Joe Rogan podcast sometimes that I really enjoy. Rhonda Patrick.

She’s a PhD, anti aging-focused molecular geneticist (something of that nature). Unbelievably smart, but also offers easy to follow information.

One of the things I really like and respect about her, is Rogan will ask her questions and sometimes she will answer “I don’t know.”

My answer to your question? There’s some sort of editorial decision within and across news orgs that they won’t touch stories like that with a 10 foot pole. Other than maybe an initial story (local news usually) the the day of the release, with generally light information.

That’s basically it. It sucks, but that’s the reality of modern journalism — which used to be a very noble occupation. In some instances (usually local news) it still is.

Joe Rogan with Rhonda Patrick — highly suggested for everyone, especially on long drives:

thanks for that...so 60 days should be plenty you would think.

Well....there is only one (or maybe two) stoplights in that whole county.

The courthouse didn’t look impressive from the outside last time I drove by....and that’s saying something considering we don’t have near the impressive legal castles they in other states (with the exception of Cordell, maybe).

I will say getting to expunge people's records from the municipal roles was pretty cool when I was on the city council. Always enjoyed when someone petitioned to get something removed from their records.

Typically it would be something stupid from their youth that was preventing them from getting a job. They were good citizens with no other record. So it was great to have the opportunity to truly help someone.

Yeah, you’re fed and you regurgitate tons of information which you spam copy and paste here.

This is a perfect example. You have repeatedly posted these types of memes strongly suggesting some shadowy reason these types of investigations are reported at the local level much more than at the national level. I provide an explanation as to why it actually is...and you post another one.

When called out on it and asked to apply some critical reasoning of your own and come up with why this might be....you punt. You decline to analyze or defend the implications and assertions of your memes and cut and paste spam...sometimes you explicitly disavow. Then you post the same damn nonsense weeks later because you saw it again in your twitter feed.

We actually do have some really cool courthouses in this state. Many built with federal WPA money during the depression. Cordell’s Courthouse is really nice...especially after the refurbishment.

Grumpy bear is grumpy. I totally get your point, but if you are going to go on this crusade, there are tons of offenders. Why are you just choosing to persecute nz?

The breadth and depth of the knee jerk from both sides makes this board almost unbearable.

To be fair, I’m only looking at the “photogenic” side and not the functional side.

The WPA ones are interesting but after seeing some of the courthouses in Missouri, Kansas, and Texas that were built in times where labor was cheap and civic pride was more important, they do look a little “blah”.

And then there’s the more modern ones that have all the character of Kerr Drummond (just without the cool college memories)....Lincoln county comes to mind.

I’m not persecuting anyone. I’m calling out what is in my opinion bs behavior and I’ve done that with other people and other people here do the same thing I’m presently doing.

Furthermore, there is not single other person on either “side” on this board that repeatedly spams the exact same crap (not similar arguments, not similar thoughts, the exact same cut and pasted memes over and over) in multiple threads over and over again. There is not another single person on this board that posted obviously, blatantly anti-Semitic caricatures because he didn’t bother to even look at it with any kind of reasonable analysis....attempt to delete it when called out....and then ended up posting again weeks later.

My question would be why do you feel a need to defend him against the “Grump Bear”? Haven’t seen you do that when other individuals on this board catch a load of scorn from multiple posters...which often gets much more personal than my commentary on NZ.

We’re all big boys here. He can defend himself just like all of the rest of us do.

Haha, Lincoln County Courthouse makes me feel like I have entered some ironic hipster’s apartment after a 70’s style remodel....fake wood paneling on the walls, weird tile jobs...all it’s missing is deep pile shag carpeting in the courtrooms and AstroTurf instead of grass outside.

Damn it.

I spent 3+ paragraphs droning on to say what you did in no capital letters, no punctuation, and two sentences.

Kudos, sir. Much more concise, persuasive, and impactful than mine.
