I've never had a "surprise" medical bill, so not sure exactly how that works. Do know that every surgery I've had all the doctors were in network and for the most part the people who called for the initial payment gave me an estimate of what bills I would be looking at subsequent to release and assuming there were no complications.
To me sounds like her insurance company screwed up, but that issue absolutely should have been outside the fact she is in congress, and settled accordingly.
