No, it's amazing that the establishment Democrats and Republicans will fight among each other, but the moment someone poses a serious threat to the establishment, they circle the wagons together. The Democrats would have obliterated Rubio early on and hard. He never would have fought back like Trump. The Democrats would have made some ludicrous charge against him and he would have tucked tail and ran like Romney and McCain did. 1. Their candidates did not survive the primaries. The GOP has undercut their candidate every opportunity. Sure they preferred Jeb to Hillary but it is you who is being lazy if you don't think they prefer Hillary to Trump.
2. FOX does what the establishment GOP tells it to do.
3. Paul Ryan has tried to cut Trump loose several times and focus on down ticket races.
4. The Trump tape just happened to be a conversation with the first cousin of George and Jeb.
5. Trump came out yesterday with a plan for term limits and cleaning up paid influence and rules for lobbyists. You can't be intellectually lazy enough not to see that alone makes him a common enemy of both party power bases.
