Concerns Regarding Rudolph

I saw the same things that all of you saw in the last three games, a guy with all the potential in the world. If there was one possible negative it was that he will need to work on his turnovers. However his play cemented his status when Gundy named him the starting QB back in the Spring.

My concern is that we haven't heard much about Rudolph this fall. The defense is getting a lot of praise. The new comers are talked about a lot (Carson, Burton, Carr, McCleskey, Salako, Hunter, etc.). The cowboy backs are being talked about quite a bit. Honestly it seems like we've even heard more about JW than Rudolph. Is this on purpose? Are the coaches trying to limit exposure to Rudolph after his name was thrown out for early Heisman lists, or as a reason we are a darkhorse to win the Big 12?

It even seemed like there was a buzz going around early in the fall that he was turning the ball over a lot. Is this because in an intrasquad scrimmage the defense is usually ahead of the offense (and we have really good CB's)? Or is Mason showing signs of a sophomore slump?

Maybe I'm reading too much into it. I'd like to hear from some of the extreme campers, or other insiders on what you may have heard. What does everyone else think? Is there just not much to talk about because we know what we have, and these other storylines are more unexpected?
