This is a misconception. Its says in the constitution or providing aid and comfort to our enemies. It does require two witnesses or an admission in court though.
I don't think this is treason, but is it not a clear violation of the Logan act? And I wouldn't care except I was told how important this act was by Democrats when they were accusing the incoming president of violating its terms.
