Still have no idea if he can coach winning hoops or his ability in leading a program but his practice this week was very interesting.
Coaches are limited to a couple hours a week with players and they can breaki t up however they want. I caught about 30 minutes this week and it was very impressive. Unlike Under roos everything started with defense. And not that Matador bull shit we played last year, His defense is tough,aggressive and as Alpha likes in your ass. If you are on offense and you go through the lane someone will put a body or elbow in your grill. If you drive the lane you will get two free throws no lay ups. One old fart like me watching said Tony and Byron would love this style.
On offense they will always look to break but if not they will set it up and try to ram it down your throat. Sima is very limited in range but is above average around the hoop and tenacious.
Coach Mike is a no nonsense guy on the court and I didn't see any player challenge him which can happen in summer workouts.
I really hope he can deliver because he appears to want to play a style that will remind many of the good Eddie teams.
