CNN host destroyed by Weather Channel founder over climate change

Of course the CNN buffoon talks about the 97% myth as well http://climatechangedispatch.com/97-articles-refuting-the-97-consensus/

Beaten like a rented army mule.
I liked the science is never a consensus part. It never is. Just as soon as you proclaim you know the definitive answer, laziness sets in, and then you end up watching obesity, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes skyrocket while you continue to eschew that sinister fat in foods that you claim caused all of that obesity, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.

That guys is something else The anchor tries to be nice and compliment him about 20 seconds in and he blusters, proclaims himself a scientist and says there's no global warming. So I look him up. He has a journalism degree, nothing science based. Never published a peer reviewed anything. The guy is a partisan skeptic and has been for a long time.

So which is it, there's no global warming, or there is but it's not caused by carbon? I've heard years of criticism over scientists' changing narrative (and criticized the disingenuous criticism), but does the same standard apply for the skeptics?

Reminds me of my organic chemistry professor. He would be teaching from the textbook and stop for a moment. He would say, "that's what used to be believed...until I proved them wrong" and then continue the lecture. He did this once or twice each semester.

Dr Berlin?

If so, loved how he leaned old school eccentric.

"Large-scale melting of snow and ice on Antarctica’s massive Ross Ice Shelf, brought about by an unusually warm stretch of weather in the summer of 2016, is one of the first documented cases of widespread surface melting of the Ross Ice Shelf and other regions of West Antarctica, according to a new study."

@Been Jammin first documented means from a record of what, 1,000 years maybe 2,000 years, for a world history of millions if not billions. Also are you now linking "El Nino" to global warming?

I love how the alarmists like to say, "This is the hottest summer since _____. It's proof global warming is real."

If it's the hottest summer since _____. That tells me it was really hot or hotter back then.

Interesting how those with left leanings consider climate change settled science yet knows exactly the moment a fetus is a human being. That is god like knowledge, amazing.
A human being is created the moment the human sperm fertilizes the human egg. Human DNA isn't injected to create a human being at some point later.

The same time the XX or XY chromosomes appear.

So, if a fertilized egg is in a test tube, it is a human being?

If it is human sperm and a human egg, it certainly is. What else would it be? It's not a rabbit or a goat or a cucumber. You don't add anything to it later to make it human nor can it differentiate itself to something other than human. Sounds like the definition of a human to me.

I've said it before, so I'll say it again: This guy being (one of numerous) co-founders of the Weather Channel makes him an expert on Climate Science, much like being a founder of MTV makes one a rock star.

Wait, I though the world was only 6,000 yrs old. You calling into doubt the serious research of the most esteemed Ken Ham?

A human embryo.

If a couple is attempting in vitro fertilization and they get 6 viable embryos (in vitro), but they and the doctor agree to only implant 2 of them. They agree not to use the other 4. Did the doc and couple just commit 4 murders?
If killing a human being is called murder, then technically yes, but there isn't a statue that covers that.

FYI, I'm pro choice up to the point the fetus is medically considered viable outside the womb. The issue I have with abortion is the lack of anesthetic provided to the fetus. I get the whole pro-choice condemnation of that thought as being yet another way to restrict abortion. Science is mixed on the subject and usually falls within the two belief camps, or at least the ideological interpretations do.

Purely from a scientific standpoint, there is evidence that a fetus as early as 8 weeks responds both physically and hormonally to noxious stimuli. We make old dying people comfortable with pain medication just to make sure, even when they show no response to noxious stimuli. We don't euthanize animals with vacuum suction and scissors to the skull. Why don't we? Because it would be considered barbaric and painful. I do think providing pain medication or anesthetic to the fetus is responsible and safe for the mother. Give the fetus a large dose of whatever. If you're going to follow it up with powerful vacuum suction to tear the tissue apart, why does it matter how much the fetus gets? That fetus deserves to be made comfortable, just in case.

Gonna be even hotter today. I have to work a little outside today. How many breaks am I supposed to take per minute working in the heat? I haven't seen any of those reports yet on the news. I'm a little concerned. Any help would be appreciated. I know medic probably deals with this all the time on heat related calls during the summer months.

Try one of these. It kills two birds with one stone: it reinforces your brand, and provides shade and constant air movement as you work.

Today is going to be a sweat down your back into your ass crack kind of day.

Drink plenty of cold beer. Cold beer has advantages over water. It's cold and refreshing and that encourages increased fluid consumption. That's an important thing non-medical people don't think about. Beer also gives you a built in notification system to allow you to monitor intake. If your buzz is increasing, you're drinking enough. If it isn't, that's a red flag. Beer also decreases physical performance which is exactly what you need to stay safe. Motivation and actual work on hot days is a death wish. Finally, if you are getting into heat illness territory, being drunk inhibits the perception of the misery. I mean face it. If you're going to get heat stroke, why in the hell would you want to be sober? That's just needless suffering.

So, just drink beer and do what your body tells you to. But please remember to not use your A.C. in your house or car. That's worse than having 100 ISIS terrorists hanging out with you all day.

Because by not using the a/c you sweat much more thus making your chances for DUI less. The body trying to cool itself speeds up alcohol metabolism.

Sounds like solid advice. This is not what you hear on the news. All they say to do is take plenty of breaks, drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol. Morons!

No. Because using A.C. is more dangerous than terrorism. And speeding up alcohol metabolism is a waste of money. If you're trying to drive drunk, an alarm will sound on my bat watch and I'll arrive shortly to kick your balls into your butthole. Nobody I know is gonna drive drunk.

That's because what you hear on the news is fake. They want you to suffer because it's only dumb white folks who listen to that garbage. Go to any residential construction site and count the beer cans. That's not a coincidence.

LOL. In the Navy, we had a drunk come into the dispensary with a gash in his face. We'd lay him on the table and cover him with sterile towels to begin sewing him up. He'd grab the towel and start trying to get up. This happened several times. His friend and both us Corpsmen (not Corpsemen) tried to reason with him to no avail. His friend said he'd solve the problem and to turn around. SMACK. The guy collapsed on the table knocked out cold. I shot him up although I don't know why and put 7-8 stitches in him and waited until he came back around and sent him off. You do what you have to do at 2 AM.

Hahahaha! I have zero doubts.
