Christian Genicide and Persecution at all time high.

Religious persecution is bad

I agree.

Though @osu_orangestreak will grin at this article —

I’ve visited Israel, in 86.

I might have thought they were all Jewish prior to that, but I don’t think I really ever considered the question. I was 20 in 86, and was touring the country for three weeks. The disparity among the citizenry was clear.

“Practicing Jew” is pretty subjective. Some would say I am, some would say I am not.

okay. so the prophecy of Isreal's return to the promised land and unification of both houses under God is only partially fulfilled right?

Sorry. Edited my answer while you were posting this.

I don’t have an answer to this question. Seems like an archaic concept.

No problem. It's not a commonly asked question. But in my study it's a key to understanding God's plan. It explains the mystery of the gospel so it is far from archaic. Sidebar: Are you familiar with Isaiah 53?

I am not. Growing up, my instruction was primarily focused on the Torah, and I had very little exposure to additional Jewish/Hebrew texts.

I just looked it up. It has been a long time since I have studied portions of the Torah/Bible and given thought to their meaning. Reading it, I would surmise that it is referencing Jesus (or could be interpreted that way), which is interesting. I didn't read anything other than 53, so I could be off base.

While you're here, and on the topic of biblical prophecy, and if you're in the mood, you're welcome to add any input on Luke 21:27-32, the parallel passages, and their seemingly obvious error.

What's up buddy? How you been? Still suffering from TDS?;)

I'll take a look this evening. Heading out the door now to take the kids to 3D movie.

Wife is taking forever to get ready. Read the verse. He's not talking about the generation he's speaking to. He's talking about the generation that will be living when those things in the end time begin to occur. It will occur within a generation. Meaning it's going to go quickly.

I assume that was the "obvious error" you were referencing? You thought he was saying that generation he was speaking directly too?

Yeah. And the Matthew version pretty much makes plain he was talking to the people then living.

You're right. It's prophesying Christ. Only person in history that meets the description.

So all Jews are Isrealites but not all Israelites are Jews. God's divorce from Israel (northern kingdom) set the stage not only for gentiles to be heirs in the kingdom of God but also the reconciliation of both houses (Judah & Israel) as stated in Ezekiel.

Anyway, just wanted to get perspective from you. Good to talk again sir.
