Cassius Clay died

Ali was "The Greatest" in many more ways than one. Some of the best sports memories of my childhood are about him. Boxing was never able to replace him, certainly not among the heavy weights.

Except for a few years watching Sugar Ray Leonard, I never paid much attention to boxing after Ali finally quit.

I can't believe a man that big, 6-4, moving the way he did, will ever be seen again.

It was horrible for those of us who loved him to watch Parkinson's eat away at the last 30 years of his life. He fought at least 10 years too long.

Considering the violence heavy weights inflicted on each other, 15 rounds against any of them was probably too much.

He didn't dodge the draft, he just refused to fight. Big difference than dodging the draft. He paid his dues after that. He was far from racist.

Not sure whats up your ass about Ali...

He called the white man "the devil". I'm sure that isn't racist, though.

Nothing is "up my ass" other than getting nauseous about that guy being celebrated. Mainstream media glorifying him is a joke.

At that time in this country, I can't say many of "the white man" were worth calling much different...

That was some 40-50 years ago. Most everyone else has moved on, perhaps it's time for you. An icon like Ali did much more good than bad. Him being probably the most recognizable person on the planet has nothing to do with being racist or being a draft dodger...disregard the fact that his trainer and cornerman was a white devil...
