Maybe a handful of separate liberal/progressive/whatever parties emerge in its place, they struggle for a few cycles. At some point there will be a GOP president so disliked that one of the successor parties emerges as the main competition or there is a coalition that backs one candidate who wins and then we're back to square one.

We can't pay for what we're spending now. How do she and her ilk expect to pay for their new ideas? It's all about ideas and ginning up support from those who don't pay for anything now.
