Can someone remind me what the purpose of the UN is again?

The UN has been taken over by the globalist whose sole intention is for a group of unelected, unaccountable officials to control the western world first and then the entire world. Currently it's nothing more than a organization that drains the US of it's wealth to advance globalist's goals.

It's purpose is to tax the US and make the US pay for the protection of Europe and the entire world. Now that the US is weak and under weak leadership, they just collect the taxes.
Absolutely nothing, they are feckless, useless, dickless, spineless, child raping criminal scum & corrupt, totally beholding to the mooslims & almost wholly dependent on US taxpayers. Since 2015, the General Assembly has adopted 140 resolutions criticizing Israel, mainly over its treatment of the Palestinians, its relationships with neighboring countries and other alleged wrongdoings. Over the same period, it has passed 68 resolutions against all other countries. The US has also vetoed another 50+.
The UN right now is tryin gto formulate a change in procedure that would make it harder for the US to veto resolutions. Am sure it is right behind the one to kick Russia off the security council.
In 2021 the UN passes 14 anti-Israel resolutions in 2021, only 4 against all other countries (North Korea, Iran, Myanmar, and Russia).
To give you an idea how egregious this crap is In 2023, the United Nations assessed the United States’ share of the regular budget at 22 percent and its share of the peacekeeping budget at 27 percent; however, the U.S. Congress caps contributions to the peacekeeping budget at 25 percent, leaving the United States in arrears.
Get out of the UN & the UN out of the US.
