Rs finally found a competent candidate from SA for gerrymandered district stretching 500 miles, some of reddest counties in the state. Only took them a century to get it rewired just right.
Ol’ Pete, blue dog boll weevil, votes in Alpine, lives in Austin. Never stood a chance.

The republicans had a monopoly on gerrymandering for 100 years? The Texas Dems didn’t do that when they were in power? Never?

That is discipline. Good honest discipline. They should be commended for that and probably given the seat based on such collective commitment to fairness.

Clown.

Yeah they had to start winning elections first, to wire it just right, which they finally did. Tom “I am the federal government” Delay got ‘er done...

Ever heard of Ardmore?

That’s not what you said.

But you are a liar so we will just dust off our hands and move along.

Are you for gerrymandering or against it? What has your lifelong opinion been?

This is all fascinating, but I want to know if you've been to Don Pedro's?

How could the repubes have a 100 year monopoly on gerrymandering when they didn't take control of the state until the late 1970's? The dems ran the state from its formation until then and used gerrymandering to its fullest extent. They also were the ones who implemented the poll tax. More inconvenient truths they are trying to revise and run away from sort of like taking down the statues they erected.

Dem districts didn’t stretch from Dalhart to Corpus.

I have a great idea. Let’s let you out of the nut bin for two hours a day and you can get a big Texas map on coloring paper. You can crack open a 64 color box of crayons and you can draw the districts just like you like. No Supreme Court precedent shall be taken into account. When you are done we can have a ceremony. Think of all the pomp with you at the podium holding your map above your head. Then you can hand it to the governor who will hand to me to crumple up into a ball and bounce off your face before the white coats stuff you back in the van.

You keep externalizing why elections are going against your party and it will be a long time before you win anything meaningful.

I'd suggest some VERY earnest self reflection.

Hate to burst your bubble Cup but Texas Senate District 19 was redrawn in 2010. The previous Texas State Senator was Dem Carlos Uresti who was found guilty of running a Ponzi scheme.

Maybe they forgot to include the votes from the illegals and dead people. That gerrymandered district was probably drawn up to purposely exclude cemeteries. I smell fowl play.
