Hope they don’t come crying to Congress hat in hand for bailouts.
And we will bail them out. They will.
And we will bail them out.
NY Times, lol.
Not as long as the federal government is the only entity that prints currency.U.S. bail out California? I'd invite you to view another thread about our 60% larger budget deficit this year over last. THey'll need to bail us out.
You’re smarter than this.U.S. bail out California? I'd invite you to view another thread about our 60% larger budget deficit this year over last. THey'll need to bail us out.

I did see your trolling thread earlier. And I’ve explained before how your blanket “THIS is conservative government” theme is inaccurate, but I’ll take the opportunity to restate. Our budget deficit is not a product of conservative principles at all. It’s the product of the abandonment of conservative ideals.
So you think deficits matter?Right. It's always a perversion of the underlying ideology. Like the Soviets and communism. That wasn't true communism, either I guess. It's always the same when conservatives take over government. Look at what they DO, going back to Reagan.
"Deficits don't matter." That is an actual statement from Dick Cheney. I will never understand how you guys can watch your own party lie, consistently, over two generations, claim they're fiscally conservative and then they explode the deficit every time they get control. Then ya'll give lip service, they say they're fiscally conservative, and they blow up the budget again.
So you think deficits matter?
Well, yeah, if they're big enough they can. So are you gonna hit me with some whataboutism or admit the GOP has been bait and switching you for the last two generations?
I assume you think our deficit matters at the size it is now?
I think Pilt makes a compelling argument that deficits don’t matter. If it continues at this trajectory I think it will. You?
I think Pilt makes a compelling argument that deficits don’t matter.
I freely admit that too many Republican politicians are all talk. But the conservative wing of the party isn’t as powerful as you think it is or as I want it to be.Right. It's always a perversion of the underlying ideology. Like the Soviets and communism. That wasn't true communism, either I guess. It's always the same when conservatives take over government. Look at what they DO, going back to Reagan.

I am glad you are coming around to this, and not a moment too soon.I think Pilt makes a compelling argument that deficits don’t matter.
Limits to spending are real not monetary. consequence of overspending is inflation, which reduces the real cost of debt.No matter the size of the deficit or % on T-bills?
In 2013, the United States president (Cliff Robertson) is exiling all citizens who don't conform to his hyper-conservative views to Los Angeles, which became an island after a huge earthquake. But, when the president's daughter nabs the detonator to her dad's apocalyptic weapon and sneaks into L.A. to be with the rebel leader she loves, the government taps commando-turned-crook Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) to retrieve the young woman. And, if he doesn't succeed quickly, he'll be executed. No idea what that means but that's a strong meme.
That's Snake Pliskin from 'Escape from New York'.
This.
Know your Kurt Russel movies, people.
Adrienne Barbeau was in NY, but not LA.

I appreciate.that, and Adrienne even more so. I just can't figure how it's releva-- never mind. I can survive these waters.
Trade deficits don’t matter. Budget deficits do. Republicans don’t seem to understand that simple fact. Certainly DJT does not.So you think deficits matter?
