I am still denying that I’m a Hamas apologist. Being someone that despises Zionism does not make one a Hamas apologist.

But Hamas' violence was in self defense.

I would posit that what Hamas did on Oct 7 deserves to be called self defense at least equally as much as calling what Israel has done every day since Oct 7 to be self defense.

It is not apologia to ask that both sides be given the benefit of the doubt as regards their claims of self defense. IMO it is sheer madness to call what Israel is currently doing to the Palestinians self defense. I know that is a minority opinion on this board but on the world stage it is very much the majority.
