We're making our annual pilgrimage to Oklahoma this coming weekend and are planning to hit up Burn Co. for the first time next Tuesday or Wednesday. Need some info...

I see they open at 10:30 in the morning, so what time do we need to realistically show up in order to have access to the full menu?

What're the must-haves off the menu? My wife and I will eat almost anything, but our toddler (who is allergic to dairy) is a little bit picky. But put enough ketchup on anything and he'll eat it.

Best options for parking?

A little before 11 or right at 11 and you will be more than fine as far as menu selection. There will be a line but it will move quick.

The ribs are really hard to beat if you had to pick one meat. IMO the absolute best thing on that menu is the mac and cheese (no I am not joking!) The downside is I think it is just a Friday and Saturday item but I could be wrong.

Their ribs are the best I've ever had. It's very common that they'll give sone away to you as you're standing in line so you can try them out. Everything is good though. You could order a Happy Plate and get a bit of everything. They're kind of known for The Fatty. I will say that their sides are pretty average.

Parking is kind of cramped in the immediate area when it gets crowded. But, their is a very large parking lot a block or so west that is associated with the Spirit Bank Tower and there are generally only about 3-5 cars parked there.

I think the MAC and cheese is TH/FR/SAT. Ny son is a big fan of it.

The grilled potato salad is a good side. You can also order a "Frankenstein". Kind a a three meat combo but they put whatever they want on there.

If you haven't had Georgia Boys in Longmont, try it sometime when you get back. I'm very curious how Burn Co compares since GB is my fave here in CO.
Will definitely add it to our list. We go to Estes Park a few times every summer, but we usually take the Golden-Boulder-Lyons route. Sounds like we may have to make a detour sometime soon.

Have you tried Smokin' Dave's yet? I think they're up to 4 locations now, but the original in Estes is our favorite BBQ in CO.

I've been meaning to follow up to this thread since August...

Thanks to all for the recommendations. Burn Co. has now taken over as our favorite BBQ joint we've ever been to. We ordered almost everything on the menu just so we could try it all, and the only thing that wasn't absolutely fantastic was the brisket.

I'm hoping the Jenks location is as good as the original; my sister and her husband live in the Union district, so a Jenks location would be fairly close for when we visit in the future.

I still haven't hit the Jenks location. Took my crew to lunch on South Boston right before Christmas. Hands down the best ribs I've ever eaten in a restaurant.

If your sister hasn't gone to Maryn's over at Jenks Riverwlk you should tell her to go. Great seafood, burgers, brunch, cocktails, beer selection. Lots of other stuff. My friend Corey owns the place. Quite a group of new restaurants out there with Burn, Maryn's, and Andolini's.

My baby sis has two under 18 months right now and my B-I-L travels quite a bit for work, so they don't get out much.

Mrs. CP and I, however, will have to check it out next time we're in town.
