This is craziness that you only see in Florida.

I just voted on an amendment that would ban all exploration and drilling for oil within the waters of the state of Florida. The very next sentence all within the same paragraph bans all vaping in any indoor space.

There were several other questions just like that. Completely random issues in the same amendment.

Makes no sense.

Florida has a 60% requirement for Amendments, so politicians pack the proposals that they know will pass without a doubt.

"A proposed revision relating to environmental health;
amending Section 7 of Article II of the State
Constitution to prohibit the drilling for exploration
or extraction of oil and natural gas in specified
state waters; and amending Section 20 of Article X of
the State Constitution to establish a general
prohibition on the use of vapor-generating electronic
devices in enclosed indoor workplaces."

I had to laugh at the bill proposals as well.
I voted no on the greyhound racing proposal as well (not that I like greyhound racing, I do love greyhounds, though). All of the bills save for the homestead and one other were heavy-handed, I thought.

Gotta love the one where no taxes or fees can be raised without a 3/4 vote of the legislature. Had to vote no on that one also. Even though it would really shut down Gillums crazy tax and spend plans.

I thought it was just a super majority which is 60%.

And I voted Yes on it.

This amendment would require a two-thirds vote in the Florida House and Senate — instead of a simple majority — to raise taxes. It was placed on the ballot by the Legislature with the intent to make it more difficult for lawmakers to raise taxes

Damn, just when I think OK is leader of some cluster fooks, you steal the show!:D

Have you looked into the greyhound ban?

Some are saying that it be used on horse racing and even hunting and fishing.
