Was just thinking about how much fun this off season has been. As fans we are so excited and ready. Reminds me of 2009 and 2011. We were on the cover of SI in 2009 even though we lost the Holiday Bowl to Oregon, but we knew injuries to Zac, Dez and Hunter were a factor.
Amazing what happens when you end the year on a great note. The year before was brutal. I remember in 2010 we went to the Alamo Bowl to play Arizona even though we could have gone to a bigger bowl. However, our coaches wanted to make sure they won the game. The two previous years we had lost bowl games and "having the entire off season after a loss is brutal".
Stoops has not had nearly as much fun as Gundy the last 5 months.
