'Boys from Oklahoma' concerts: Latest on traffic, construction, OSU stadium rules

After six months of preparations, what’s believed to be the biggest concert event in state history gets underway Thursday at Boone Pickens Stadium at Oklahoma State University.
The sold-out April 10-13 "The Boys from Oklahoma" stadium shows, to be co-headlined by newly reunited band Cross Canadian Ragweed and fellow popular Oklahoma Red Dirt act Turnpike Troubadours, are expected to bring more than 180,000 ticketholders to Stillwater.
Plus, thousands of additional music fans are expected to flock to Payne County to tailgate, explore the birthplace of Red Dirt Music and catch the many other shows local venues are planning for the Ragweed reunion run.
Here's what to know about "The Boys from Oklahoma" shows at OSU's Boone Pickens Stadium:

- Thursday, April 10: Doors open at 4 p.m., with Stoney LaRue at 5:35 p.m., Jason Boland & The Stragglers at 6:25 p.m., The Great Divide at 7:15 p.m., Turnpike Troubadours at 8:15 p.m. and Cross Canadian Ragweed at 10 p.m.
- Friday, April 11: Doors open at 3:30 p.m., with Mike McClure Band at 5:05 p.m., Stoney LaRue at 5:55 p.m., Jason Boland & The Stragglers at 6:45 p.m., Turnpike Troubadours at 7:45 p.m. and Cross Canadian Ragweed at 9:30 p.m.
- Saturday, April 12: Doors open at 3:30 p.m., with The Great Divide at 5:05 p.m., Stoney LaRue at 5:55 p.m., Jason Boland & The Stragglers at 6:45 p.m., Turnpike Troubadours at 7:45 p.m. and Cross Canadian Ragweed at 9:30 p.m. The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame induction for Ragweed, The Great Divide, Jason Boland & The Stragglers and LaRue will take place before Ragweed's set.
- Sunday, April 13: Doors open at 3:30 p.m., with Jason Boland & The Stragglers at 5:05 p.m., The Great Divide at 5:55 p.m., Stoney LaRue at 6:45 p.m., Turnpike Troubadours at 7:45 p.m. and Cross Canadian Ragweed at 9:30 p.m.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation and Oklahoma Turnpike Authority have issued traffic advisories for concertgoers headed to Stillwater from Oklahoma City and Tulsa:Interstate 35 narrowed to one lane north of Guthrie over Cimarron River: North and southbound lanes of I-35 are narrowed to one lane in each direction north of Guthrie, over the Cimarron River: Drivers should use extra caution in the area and expect delays.
Drivers from south of Stillwater can use these alternative routes:
- Eastbound State Highway 33 to northbound US-177 through Perkins
- Northbound US-77 through Guthrie to eastbound State Highway 51
- Eastbound State Highway 66 to northbound US-177
State Highway 51 is narrowed to one lane at State Highway 108 east of Stillwater: East and westbound lanes of State Highway 51 are narrowed to one lane in each direction at State Highway 108, east of Stillwater. Drivers should use extra caution in the area and expect delays.
US-412/Cimarron Turnpike narrowed to one lane at mm 33 near GlencoeThe following closures are on the Cimarron Turnpike near Glencoe, northeast of Stillwater:
East and westbound US-412/Cimarron Turnpike are narrowed to one lane: Westbound US-412/Cimarron Turnpike is narrowed to one lane from mile marker 39 to mile marker 41 near Glencoe.
'Boys from Oklahoma' street closure
According to the City of Stillwater, Hall of Fame Ave from N Washington St. to N Knoblock St. is closed until 10 a.m. Monday, April 14, for the event.Cashless event
"The Boys From Oklahoma" concert series is a cashless event. American Express, Visa, and Mastercard are accepted at vendor stations.Major credit cards also are accepted at the University Store at the Stadium, OSU Athletic Ticket Office, merchandise and concession stands.
