Below is the short list of things that I hope we see now that Boynton has been named the coach. If these things happen, I think he has a pretty good shot at being successful.
1) retain Lamont Evans and Danny Henderson as assistants
2) convince Jawun to stay one more year
3) convince Carroll to stay one more year
4) keep the 2017 recruiting class intact
5) maintain the offensive system we used in 2016-17
6) get back to basic, fundamental defensive basketball
If those 6 things happen, I think Boynton has a great opportunity to have early and long term success. We will know 1-3 relatively soon. #4 we should know in the medium term. And we will find out #5 and #6 in due time.
