First off I received 500 gift card for Christmas from Basspro, so I bought a glock 23( 40sw compact) Then found a good deal on a remington ar 15, camo, w/scope. Traded a sig 2022 for a taurus judge. Hated the Judge, sold it and bought a Taurus 1911 in 38 super. Have a friend in need of money, so I ended up with a glock 20 (10mm auto)

That is not stupid right now!

I bought a Browning Auto, Belgium made 16g (sweet 16.) A DMPS mp5 and hopefully a bushy AR15. I would like to get a few more pistols, but cannot find any ignorance.

The A5 cost me $230.

DTS, I purchased both before Sandyhook...but the AR was never paid for or picked up, just agreed on. Now he is crawfishing a tad.

He agreed to the scope and new rail with extra mags for $1g...now he doesn't want to let it go.

You could turn around and double your money tomorrow.

Yeah, the sweet 16 is for sale. I am keeping everything else for now.

Well, it is for sale! I would like a fair price for it, and giving you good deal at the same time.

I've done a lot of trading and a little buying. Current "new-to-me" stuff.

AR-15 in 223 Wylde - Bushmaster (pre-Remington buyout) upper and lower, Rock River 20" bull barrel, Chip McCormick Super Match Trigger, LaRue tactical 12" quadrail, detachable carry handle, bipod. Bought it about a month ago.

1911 - Remington Rand "P" slide over an auto-Ordinance frame. Trigger job, slide job and more extras.

Ruger Mini-30 (with 6 magazines)

2 Ruger 10/22's - one fully loaded with bull-barrel, etc. Bought from same guy as the AR

Hi-Point carbine in 40 S&W. Fairly cheap guns, but fun as heck to shoot.

Hi-Point pistol, 40 S&W with laser

Ruger SR40c (for my wife)

Winchester Model 70 Ultimate Shadown in 7mm WSM - Got this one primarily for the scope (Zeiss Conquest), but like it surprisingly well overall. Just picked it up today. Fate TBD, other than I'm keeping the scope!

Like I said, I've spent some money, but traded a lot. There are deals to be had right now, you just have to look really hard. Picking up a Leupold Vari-X III 6.5-20x 50mm tomorrow for the first gun listed. Pretty sure I did really, really well on it. They sell for $900 new.

I can text you some, but I will tell you that I think it needs some minor restoration. I have an A5 12, that has been in the family for a very long time that looks almost new....and side by side, the sweet 16 is pretty rough. But, looking at it before the purchase, I still thought I was stealing it.

Guess I am a little boring and not real induced to big purchases out of fear, but the only gun I bought this year was this Savage 10 Varmint Hunter in 223 rem.

Tell me about it. I've got a M70 in .300 Wby but I've been shopping for another.

Frankly, I've got more than I can reasonbly shoot but just not the diversity I would like. Once the Great Scare has subsided and prices come down, I may pick one of those up, Pappa. Very Nice. Looking forward to a report on it. I'd prefer a larger caliber (6.8?) than the .223, but there is something to be said for widely available/fairly cheap ammo!! Some of you, including Goob, has built a rifle or two. I'm sort of intrigued by this and may do so.

I love the .308 but got the .223 because it will be mainly used for varmints and target practice and the ammo is much cheaper.

I picked up a Ruger SR9c and S&W Bodyguard over the last couple of months.

I am planning on getting a .308 after the scare...and I will load up on certain ammos! There is a sniper school I want to attend and I am thinking of taking this as my main weapon. I am also looking to purchase a bolt with a heavy barrel in the same caliber.

Oh, nice gun!

You bring up an interesting point, at least to me, and that is the practicality of using (for short to medium ranges) pistols and tactical weapons that can use the same ammo. That may be the .45, 9 mm, or some other less widely used calibers. There are some interesting hicap carbines, for lack of a better term- manuverable short range that use the pistol ammo., but can extend it's range.
For fun, I do have a great set of .45 long colt 6 shooter (a classic) and .45 long colt lever-action rifle. The rifle is pretty accurate out to 125 yards or so, but the range is limited as much by the iron sites as it is the load (ok, probably more, cause if you could put that big ol lead slug on something at 300 yds, it's still going down!)

You got it TCP! I would like to have as many interchangeable loads as I can. The only problem; it isn't easy matching up what I want with calibers.

I would like to stay away from 223 right now, but there are a few guns that I would like to own. I also wouldn't mind having a 22-250 bolt and a hi-cap gun in the same caliber. The scare is making it too hard to find ammo (unless you really wanted to look hard or reload.)

Don't mean to turn this thread into a garage sale, but here is the description:

.300 Weatherby Accumark with a 14X Zeiss Conquest scope. Synthetic stock; stainless steel, 26″
barrel.

I haven't seriously begun the search for a new owner, but I need to get started. Anyone ever use the online sites such as gunbroker.com to buy or sell a firearm? Recommendations? Warnings?

I'm definitely interested.

I've bought half a dozen guns on gunbroker. They are great in my opinion and a decent barometer of the market.

I am going to sell my Belgium Sweet 16, but there aren't any bids on gun broker.com to speak of? Anybody here know what it is worth?

For you gun buyers. Are these auctions worthwhile at all?

Football is at UTSA on Sept 7, so if you weren't going to the game that day I guess you could go to this.

Gun auction Sept 7

That looks interesting but I would want to know what kind and quality of guns they will auction off. Question: I know you can't buy a gun over the counter in you are from another state, but can you do a private purchase? Can you sell a gun out of state if you go to that state?

Chase, is the Browning the Sweet Sixteen with the gold trigger? MIne was stolen three years ago and I would like to replace it.

ja.

PS I was one the guys that played with Steve Hill at your tournament.

Hey, good to hear from you! That tourney got quite a bit bigger this last year...sent almost $200K to the Shriner's! Would love to get some more Orange down there. Thanks for coming!

I hate to hear that about your stolen Sweet 16, however, the gun is spoken for by another Ostate guy. He is buying it for his father I believe and we have just not been able to meet up yet. So I am sorry, but unless he has a change of heart, it is gone.

Hey let me know if the guy flakes out. jeff it's good to see you also. I do lurk and would post more except my man Steve is all over the place and keeps all stirred up.
