My 6th grade son has wanted to go to West Point and become an engineer ever since he was 6. I want to get him a book for his birthday that he (turns 12 in a few months) would find interesting. He's a very strong reader but I also didn't want to bore him to death.

I saw this one and was leaning towards it. Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

John Feistein's (sp) book Civil War is one of the best books I have ever read.

It is about a year in the life of the football teams for both West Point and the Naval Academy. The book was written during the first year of Charlie Weatherbie's coaching era at the Naval Academy.

The book does a great job of describing the life of the players both on and off the field. Does a great job of showing why the Academies are so special.
