I had not heard about this before now:
Moment of silence for Mattick
Before the game and at halftime, Gallagher-Iba Arena recognized Bob Mattick, an Oklahoma A&M Aggie from 1951-54 who died Dec. 23. He was 85.
Mattick, a 6-foot-11 center out of Chicago, was twice an All-Missouri Valley Conference selection under coach Henry Iba. In 1954, he became the first player in program history to score more than 20 points per game and to average a double-double, earning second-team All-American honors.
