Board is kinda slow...let's here about Trump saying intelligence

CNN are experts at getting Trump stories wrong and underselling him. Not always. But often.

First piece of advice I have regarding stories like this is to ask yourself if you are open to the idea that he actually does have a good relationship with them and that the perception he doesn’t may be yet another troll job. If you can’t acknowledge that as at least a possibility it’s hard to discuss. In my opinion you are the best shot on this board of a liberal (probably not a leftist) that can have an interesting convo.

All that said, he may have bad relationships with some of them. If he does they’ll be replaced. Is that bad?

Good thoughts Mega. Just think narcissist Trump should keep his twitter shut so he does not have to back up all the time. Pretty poor way to promote a good relationship IMO.
Be interesting to see how this likely intelligence squabble turns out, but believe Trump is in enough deep shit over the Wall, shutdown and emergency order that he needs not get into it with intelligence people.

I feel like we are watching two different movies but in this case I think the next two weeks will be pretty enlightening one way or the other.

Oh you're in for a treat if you think conventional logic applies when you evaluate Trump on here. Making Mexico pay for the wall? That was just a metaphor, nobody really cared. When he said it x1000 to the screaming deplorables? They didn't care, he was just kibbitzing.

I think it is pretty bad leadership for an law enforcement executive to fill the ranks of his intelligence gathering bodies with only people he gets along with or who are primarily focused on backing up his views.

Internally dissenting views are important when it comes to intelligence collection and analysis, IMO.

That intelligence collecting and analysis should also be confidential and not be made public as well, so I have no problem getting rid of someone when that confidential analysis becomes public by the work of those same people.

It becomes a tough call when that confidential analysis becomes public through being called to testify before Congress as part of their oversight duties.

curious as to whether coats briefed the president before his testimony

further questions from there

36 percent of the population has below average IQ.

That’s Trump and his base.

How I picture @CowboyUp in his free time.

Its a sad statement that we don't hold Congressmembers to the same security and propriety standards we would expect from the intelligence agencies themselves.

  • I watched the intelligence chiefs report as it was broadcast live on CNN. It didn't take a rocket scientist to realize that many of the things they were saying were directly contradicting what President Trump has been saying over the last several weeks. President Trump said that CNN misquoted what they were saying and it was the media's fault. How anyone could possibly believe that showing a live broadcast could be misquoting someone is beyond any reasonable belief, but I am sure there are people out there who will fall his reasoning.
