Why would he invade at all? His whole goal, which is reasonable, is to give his country a buffer zone against potential enemy invasion similar to what America has in the western hemisphere with the Monroe Doctrine. His tactic, which appears to be working, is to drive a wedge between other NATO nations, particularly Germany and France, who are growing weary of America bullying them into needless and costly wars, and who would be on the receiving end of war damage if one were to start, and America, weakening NATO, and hopefully getting it dissolved. Considering Germany's and France's foot dragging on America's hyperventilation, it seems Putin's strategy is coming to fruition. America's war mongers may have to find somewhere else to provoke a conflict. Hopefully they will not find another nuclear power to pick on next.

I don’t know what’s in Putin’s mind. I don’t know if he’ll invade or not. At this point I don’t see any reason for him to. The US war mongers have a huge obstacle to overcome. With Russia's threat to cut off the oil pipeline Germany and France are getting cold feet.

It will depend on why Russia would invade. Right now the war mongers have a self induced credibility issue if Russia doesn’t, so it would not surprise me to see them try to back Russia into a corner just so they can save face - and have the war they want so badly. If Russia invades out of the clear blue sky I’ll have no choice but to admit I was wrong about an invasion.

Yes, I would consider a gradual elimination of NATO to be a good thing. Western Europe has a considerable population advantage over Russia and has a higher GDP by an enormous margin. It is time for the US to stop being their protector, time for them to swim on their own, they are more than capable.

I don’t see a reason why Putin would invade at this time. I would not put it past our security state to try and find a reason to push Russia too far and then say Putin started it. If that’s the case I’d say it is our security state’s fault. I wouldn’t say it’s “our” fault because “our” includes me, and it wouldn’t be my fault.
