Breaking Bad fans, rejoice: Bryan Cranston is all for bringing Walter White back to the small screen.

While appearing on Tuesday's episode of The Rich Eisen Show, Cranston touched on the possibility of reprising his role on Better Caul Saul, the prequel to his Emmy-winning AMC hit.

"You know, here's the thing. I owe [series creator] Vince Gilligan so much. He was my champion to get this role," said Cranston, 60. "If they were to call me and say, 'We have this idea, we'd like …' – I would say: 'Yes, you don't have to finish the pitch, I'm there, what do you want me to do?' "

"I would do whatever they want because I know how careful they are and proprietary they are with those characters and the storyline," he added.

According to Cranston, if White were to appear on Gilligan's Saul, he's confident it wouldn't be "a stunt casting kind of thing."

"It would be something kind of unique and obscure and creative, and I'm all in," he said.

Meanwhile, while he hasn't gotten the call to star on the show, Cranston revealed he does have the opportunity to direct an episode – but he's feeling conflicted about it.

"I'm debating whether I want to or not because I'm a fan of the show," he said. "There's a part of me that says that would kind of kill it for me as a fan, to peek behind the curtain."

"I know nothing about it other than what every other fan [knows]," he added. "I don't want to hear anything about it, I want to watch it when it comes out and I'm tuned in."

I just finished binging Breaking Bad from beginning to end. First time I had watched an episode since the finale. I forgot how dark that show got over the last 4 or 5 episodes. It is so good. Best TV series ever.

One of the parts I appreciated more was when Walt and Saul are sitting in the car looking at buying the car wash and Saul says something along the lines of "if you believe it you can sell anything. I once convinced a woman I was Kevin Costner for a night." Made me laugh.

Depends of what direction they take with Better call Saul. Does it end when he becomes Saul? Do they take it up to Breaking Bad? I could see it going up to where he meets Walter in the Last Episode. The final option is to take it through Breaking Bad and up to the Cinnabon man. The fact that they have teased that make be believe we get so kind of explanation as to how he gets there meaning they have to go through the breaking bad years.

Just guessing, but it would seem like they can use snippets from Breaking Bad, along with newly filmed scenes of what was going on with Saul outside of what we saw on BB. However, that might result in issues with Odenkirk looking significantly older/younger in scenes that are supposed to be occurring at the same time.

My guess is that they will take this show up to the Cinnabon days, but that might depend on how it is doing in the ratings.
