They want to give this guy a year plus of national exposure campaigning on donations and honing his skills for another run at Cruz.

Am in Australia again on business and this morning the tv lefties were gushing at him entering. They kept repeating that he raised $39 million last year in his run against Cruz, of course conveniently leaving out that most of that was out of state $$$.

The second story they were running was about Manafort gathering up another 43 months. The whole time that story ran they were running a scroll saying “Donald Trumps former campaign manager sentenced to 43 months as a result of russian probe.” Geez even here the news is garbage, run by lying dolts.

Australia is so obsessed with America that, when we eat beans, Australia farts.

Further evidence that these hilarious tweets are targeted towards fueling TDS and making the TDS afflicted rage at meaningless things.

I actually do find it hilarious for the record. Doesn’t inspire me to go posting it around as some sort of evidence of this and that, though.
Hilarious

Ain’t it, though?

It’s like a cavalcade of comedy, a laugh riot, a cornucopia of LOLs, and a oil tanker of guffaws all rolled into one Yuge explosion of wackiness.
An “oil tanker of guffaws...”

Guffaw!!!!

Seems like it would be a positive. Our current POTUS is a billionaire, so it must be good for a candidate to have a lot of family money.

Missing the the forest for the trees here. I hope you are doing that on purpose??

Mostly yes.

However, I think Beto is an interesting case. He paints himself as a guy who does not want to accept money from PACs and lobbyists because he doesn't want to be beholden to them.

I think his wife's family money actually makes that part of his persona more believable. I'm sure you and I would agree that most members of Congress are constantly watching their personal income and forego voting with their heart in favor of voting for the special interest groups that donate to them and improve their chances of reelection. In theory, Beto might be less influenced by those wanting to buy his support.

This exact statement was said about Trump, yet all we hear is about how he has been bought and sold.

Who said that exact statement? Trump has always made it very clear that he is about doing what it takes to line his pockets and enrich himself.

Do you not keep up with your side of the isle at all? Have you not read how family money is a non starter? Have you not been keeping up with the target of rich cisgender straight white males? His only chance is to show up in a wheelchair or dress.

Serious question. Can he run against Cornyn in 2020 (assuming he drops out of the race for POTUS). Can he only run against Cruz because he lives in Cruz' district? Can he move to Cornyn's district to run against him?

Just curious.

Yawn. Ok, skippy.

Given that both Cruz and Cornyn are Senators, the district the individual lives in is irrelevant as long as he lives in the state.
