For years now I stay free in Choctaw hotels. Not so in the brand new digs at Durant. The nice young woman tells me she'll have to charge me for a room at the brand new hotel. She has a room for me at the finest of the not so new at no cost to me.

The Choctaw actually expect me to pay for a brand new room? What can these guys be thinking? Maybe if I was stupid enough to throw away millions at the black jack tables they would treat me differently.

I thought me and the Choctaw were buddies. Do I sound like a good liberal. Something for nothing.

I'll leave for Durant tomorrow AM.

I stayed in the Spa Tower. Highest Class outside the brand new dig. I guess since they wanted to charge me for the all new, they would put me up at their otherwise best for free.

The whole place just isn't the same. No smoking in the all new and now the lowest level casino of the old. I heard many guests complaining. I wonder how many who will switch allegiance to Winstar. One woman told me gamblers smoke and drink. She was irked.

One bar, a gift shop and cafe were closed. I was shocked to see 4 vehicles with Oklahoma plates at Level 2 of the old Parking Garage. Usually it's all Texas plates.

Was the food decent and comped as well ?
No food comp this time. That's new. I had a pretty good smash burger and fries for $14.82. Krispy Chicken for supper wasn't fit to eat.

Had wife and I eaten at the pretty good buffet, we'd been out $60.

I had a really good visit with some of the old buddies. I'm the designated driver. I don't gamble. Wife won $700 pretty quickly then threw it away.
