Any of you use/used reverse flow smokers? Thoughts?

I'm looking at making an offset smoker purchase in the next month or two.

ole hickory rotisserie convection gas fired wood burner for me

offset for ribs chicken if i’m feeling nostalgic

just read up on the reverse flow
operates like a convection fan

imo can’t go wrong with the concept

The cons of the reverse flow stick burner is they're a pain in the ass to clean. You can't just take out tuning plates and get inside to scrub the hell out of it. Lang smokers, all they sell is reverse flow but my uncle is Yoder till he dies and they're traditional. There's plenty pros and cons to both and a lot of afficianados will swear by either method.

As you can see, the fire box is on the same side as your stack in reverse flow. I've never seen a Yang in person but Yoders (ain't cheap) are fine pieces of American craftsmanship.

I've narrowed it down to these two manufacturers, want something to last me for decades.
