In order to have a slimmer of hope for NCAA tourny, tomorrow's game vs the Bears is a must win.
We haven't beaten the bears in awhile and they provide some challenges with all their length.
Baylor is projected to finish near the bottom of the conference and we may be hitting a stride even without Shine available.
With so many missed opportunities already lost (WVU, KSU, Tech, Arky, TCU) there is mounting pressure to defend your homecourt and steal more on the road. This is a game that must be won if we have any NCAA bid hope.
KenPom has us at 66 and RPI at 83. This should rise simply from playing good teams again in 2nd half of schedule. We will likely end the reg season with KenPom in the 35-50 range and RPI in the 40-60 range. That has bubble team written all over it. The only thing missing is WINS.
Must go 8-10 for a chance and 9-9 for assurance. We have some nice wins over tourny teams: FSU, OU, KU, Texas.
We need to finish higher than 4 of these 5: Texas, KSU, Baylor, TCU, & Iowa State in standings.
If we finish 6th in conference then we are in.
