All it takes is the right combination. We thought we had it with Ford/Smart, but it was lacking. Perhaps Evans is the spark needed to elevate things.

Not great numbers of a coach about to be fired. A guy who did OK at a previous stop (73-59). People said a bunch of the same stuff about this guy in 1985 as many here do Coach Ford. He was able to finally get the right combination. Not saying Ford will match his success. Just an illustration of how things can change.
I bet Duke is happy they didn't fire Coach K back then.
