As of 2013...avareage size and weight of NFL players by position

The one that surprises me is running backs, and this definition of a RB is what has done traditionally very well at OSU (5-10 or so guy that is built well and shifty, with some power). Seems to me both the NFL and colleges put too much emphasis on size / weight at the RB position?

Also, notice Mason is now in the territory of physically being what the NFL looks for.

Interesting to note all OL positions other than TE are over 300lbs, is this reflective of Gundy wanting to get bigger in the OL?

NFL loves to both pass and run, look at the size of those LB's, Bama type size. Tells me it is a rare athlete that can play the position in the NFL and maintain the needed speed to play the position in the modern era giving how much teams pass now.

NFL teams physically on average are monsters.
