Ok that's it Ariana Grande, I officially love you!

Music, ESPECIALLY pop music is a generational thing. Brit Brit is my girl, and 20 years from now if someone asks me who my favs female pop singer is I will probably say Britney Spears, despite the fact so many great ones came before or since.

But so much of our perception of music is based on our own experience. We LOVE that song from our senior year in High School. We LOVE that song from college. We love the song played at that wedding.

To me, Ariana has become the dominant female singer of this generation in the last two weeks.

Obviously she has many contemporaries. Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez etc..

But she has been golden the last 2 weeks since the tragedy. She put together a kick ass concert involving many stars in less than two weeks. She introduced some stars and sang with many of them, and let some stars just walk out themselves (I mean do you don’t need to introduce Bieber) .She managed to put together some great collaborations on the fly. She visited the victims in the hospital and invited the original concert goers back for free. She showed courage, compassion, empathy and just basic humanity.

She sounded awesome, looked so cute and was…so GENUINE. She addressed the crowd many times. She repeated herself many times. She teared up many times. But you what? That was great. And heartfelt! She was REAL!

And today I went to the gym and was streaming her songs and loving them more than I ever have before. I suspect her generation is feeling her as well.

If brt ever changes I'll be disappointed.

Me. Anytime I see he has started a thread anywhere.

OhPee writes this as if Ariana was the one who was calling the shots and making the decisions. Also writes this as if no other artist would have done the same....
