I've gotta say, at 18, I watched every available moment on 4 national networks.

I've never felt more alive and exhilarated as I was those 5 days.
Considering all of the technical errors that could've happened, it was surreally special when they splashed down.

Ah, the memories.

Millennials would be wise to watch this to see what unbiased non-political reporting is like. I have my doubts if something like this would even be shown on CNN, MSNBC, et al, in today's environment. If it was shown, all commentary would be about the excessive costs and how that money would be better spent on illegal immigrants or unwilling to work citizens. Notwithstanding the new technological innovations which the expenditures would produce just like the new innovations the expenditures of 1960's space flight created which are common today across the world.

Imagine the innovations which could be in use today had Clinton spent the paltry $4 billion to complete the 1/2 build Supercollider? We piss away $4 billion routinely.
