My kid got it but was fine in 2 or 3 days. I got some nasty crud with low grade fever and lethargy, some coughing and sneezing, probably not the flu.

Worst part of getting older isn't losing my hair but staying sick longer.

Whine over.

For you people with the flu and colds. Drink some ginger. Either slice some up and boil it in the tea or hot water and drink it. Your Welcome!

Fought the crud for about 20 days now. Just getting back to normal.

My wife and three kids have all had multiple illnesses in the last 8 weeks. Flu seemed certain at first - they all went to a cookie decorating party back in early December and many there ended up with confirmed cases of influenza. However... while all four of them got sick none had legit flu symptoms.

I had some intestinal bug a couple days after Christmas and then some sinus gunk last week. Otherwise fit as a fiddle, so I've been the fortunate one. Just waiting for my luck to run out.

Nearly Identical story, my kid seems to drag home something from school at least once a year and has rebounded and feeling fine in a couple of days. I pick it up from him and am down for the count for a week or more.

I got it a week or so before Christmas. Didn't get out of bed for like 5 days and was spitting up lung bugers for a month

Going to Portland in a week. And seriously considering wearing the stupid dust mask thing at the airport

I got the stomach flu. It hit me on a plane on a 4 hour flight. Throwing up 4 differnt times in the lavatory is brutal. Then while driving on I-95 in Philadelphia in a rental car. The worst.

I didn’t but heard one of the wives at Schwartz Redi mix died last week in her 40s with the flu and pneumonia in less than a week.

had something, maybe not the flu....cough from hell, no appetite, nausea, cold. Lasted almost 3 weeks but it's about to be over. Had the flu shot and took tamiflu. Was told to get this Elderberry stuff, like cough medicine. Pharmacist said it was better than tamiflu. Don't know if any of it worked as I think I just outlasted it.

she had lupus as a complicating factor

left a 14yr old son behind

Caught it two weeks ago last Tue; got to Doc's office the next day, so meds helped a lot. Still having "residual" effects, coughing/sinuses/ear, etc. So much for getting a flu shot!

Shouldn't do this. But.....

Haven't had it in years. Can't remember the last time. Never get the vaccine either.

With that said, I do have a runny nose and headache today.

Something was apparently going around the office the week between Christmas and New Year's while I was out, but our family has managed to steer clear so far. Thank God, as we have a 2-month old at home. I've been using Purell religiously and washing my hands throughout the day, and I've been trying to remember to take Emergen C one or two times a day. Avoiding public transportation too.

I can't remember the last time flu season was this bad.

Update. No flu.

Feeling good, Louis.
