Ant-Man and the Wasp

Very close to a massive release in Infinity War along with a pretty stacked May.. but it feels like this is the least hyped up Marvel film in awhile.

I really enjoyed Rudd and Ant-Man

Ant-Man was a surprisingly good film to me, even for Marvel.

I’m curious how there is going to be much room for a Marvel level story that doesn’t involve Thanos in the middle of the Infinity movies that doesn’t (maybe it does) move more heroes toward confrontation with the Mad Titan. Isn’t Ant-Man going to Ben in Infinty War?

Edit - I have not seen Thor Ragnorak yet, and I’m only in the first half of season 4 of SHIELD on Netflix.

I'm curious about how they are going to manage the timeline also.

If I remember correctly, Ant Man was in federal prison at the end of Civil War. The above preview shows him having an ankle monitor removed. He is in Infinity War, but Wasp is not (as far as I can tell).

The only way I can tie all this together would be that Hawkeye, Falcon, Scarlet Witch and Ant Man are released from federal prison into the custody of Iron Man (or someone else) to fight against Thanos, but are still wearing ankle monitors throughout Infinity War.

Cap busted them all out of prison at the end of Civil War. Dressed as a delivery man. Just watched it two weeks ago.

So i think it's safe to safe this one takes place before Infinity War?

I think so. I figure that at the end (or in post credit scene)
we will see people turning to dust and Steve Rogers calling Ant Man (and the Wasp) to come back into the fold.

So, you drop spoilers into a thread that people couldn't have predicted they would see spoilers?

Glad I've read the book and already seen it. Watching out for others that haven't.

Uncool dude. Spoiler warning would be appropriate here. After you complained about spoilers also.

I thought that I heard this one is before Infinity Wars. Think maybe the quantum realm might be something of a factor for part two of Infinity Wars. I think Captain Marvel will also be before and then happening during Infinity War part one.

ScreenRant is saying they've confirmed both take place before Infinity War with Ant-Man right before and Captain Marvel set in the 1990s.

It will be interesting to see how they resolve what happens to Captain Marvel between the 90's and present day. As in, why she didn't appear when aliens attacked New York, Sekovia, etc. I'm guessing that she has been away from Earth, but there could be other explanations.

Wow didn’t know Captain Marvel would be set that far back in the past.

I didn't have any expectations for Ant-man and ended up enjoying it. I'm doing the same approach with this movie.

Went tonight. Very fun movie.

Mid credits scene ties into Infinity War. Final credits scene was very good IMHO.

My only criticism is that the FBI guys and the thugs were too campy. I know they wanted it to be light hearted after Infinity War but I think they went too far with those characters and made them soft.

Just in case it isn't obvious, you need to suspend reality and put aside any knowledge you have of physics. The use of various scientific terms makes you want to go 'wait a minute...' but you need to keep reminding yourself that this is a comic book universe and not our universe. :)

Going this afternoon! Will report back on how it comes to first film as well as others in MCU

Significantly better than the first film.

I’d say top 3 MCU film in terms of comedy

Mid credits scene is very satisfying IMO

Go see it!

First film in awhile that the Rotten Tomatoes score actually fits with my personal rating...

Currently at 86%
