Our government in my opinion has been secretly killing people and threatening people since the beginning. Read what happened at pine ridge in the 70’s and the plight of Leonard peltier. Read up on what J Edgar Hoover did. Read up on the bush family. Read up on what the cia has been doing around the world. You are naive.

The spying was illegal because the authorization was based on unverified and salacious claims to influence the judge to sign off
They attested under threat of perjury the information was verified and true
Spying based on false information does not become legal just because a judge signed off
