Name your dozen favorite beers, without regard to style, in no particular order. I'll start.

  • Funkwerks Saison
  • Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin'
  • Oskar Blues Ten Fidy
  • St. Bernardus Abt 12
  • Bell's Two Hearted Ale
  • Deschutes Black Butte Porter
  • Ratio Beerworks Dear You French Saison
  • Anderson Valley The Kimmie, The Yink, and The Holy Gose
  • Odell St. Lupulin
  • Great Divide Hibernation
  • Mikkeller Brunch Weasel Coffee Stout
  • New Holland Dragon's Milk

Obviously I could name 100 beers I love without breaking a sweat and this list would possibly be different if I did it in two weeks.

Hmmm

Tree house - Julius
Founders - kbs
Toppling Goliath - Mornin' delight
The alchemist - heady topper
Bourbon country - coffee stout
3 floyds - zombie dust
Firestone Walker - parabola
Russian river - supplication
Deschutes - the abyss
Prairie - pirate bomb

Lots of greats I haven't tried. We should consider doing a beer exchange. I know we have people that read the board, from all over the US. Might be a way to get some new tastes.

Umm, we should consider doing a tournament bracket. Minimum 256 beers and I'll nominate you two to work out the details. I'd make Coors Original the #1 overall seed, so leave me out of it.

You listed two favorites of mine: Founders Porter (I slightly prefer Bkack Butte) and Dogfish India Brown.
I also really like Evil Twin Aun Mas Chili Jeśus. Have you tried that variation?

3 Floyds - Gorch Fock
PBR
Tremens - Delirium
Upland - Base
Goose Island - 312
Goose Island - Honkers
Leinen - Sunset Wheat
Bass - Pale
Guinness - Stout

That's about what I normally drink in general. Not as flamboyant as some of you guys....

Love Guinness, and like the occasional Bass Pale. PBR is, without question, the greatest American "macro" lager.

I love the roasty and light-bodied porters, like Butte. I had the Chili Jesus on tap at the Evil Twin pub in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. I really liked it and sought out the 'standard' Jesus which I really, really liked.

Has anyone tried A-B's Faust? Always on the lookout for a good pre-Pro lager. Only available on tap in the STL area. I went on the Budweiser brewery tour last week and they were hyping it (and it's gotten some good reviews), but the tap room was out. It is supposed to be from a recipe recently found by their archivist. I tried instead the "underground" Bud tap room exclusive Morello, a pale ale with a hint of sour cherries. It was an above-average beer.

I almost put rye on rye. @Fatty J brought me a bottle back, from his boulevard tour. It was delicious. I actually really love the evil twin Jesus stouts too. Marshall mentioned the chile one, which I really like too.
