Compared with the last few years of the Weimar Republic? A lot was privatized, some stayed in state hands. All governments in the 30's took large state measures to deal with the Depression, especially fledgling governments eager to consolidate power, which would mean adopting certain social policies to maintain control and stifle opposition rhetoric. Hitler learned something from Bismarck in that regard. Plus, Hitler was trying to build a colossal war machine, of course that takes government intervention and central planning.
However, is socialism not largely joint ownership and limiting and eliminating private property as well as blending or at least limiting class differences? I don't see that in Nazi Germany. Was Nazi Germany a truly free market? Of course not, it was a totalitarian dictatorship, but there was mass privatization and at least for ethnic Germans, private property was protected and the social order was cemented and not blurred.
Is the contention that Adolf Hitler was a left wing politician when he ruled Germany?

Edit - I will admit my analogy earlier was a bit overstated. The NSDAP had more socialism in it than the DPRK has democracy in it. But, I don't at all think the NSDAP was a left wing party in any real capacity.
