just watched the episode on Ray Nagin ex mayor New Orleans and his corruption charges (21) and subsequent conviction (20 of the 21). Man what was he thinking? Went from a VP at Cox Communications ($400 K a year) to mayor ($130 K a year) but kept spending like he was at Cox. Amazing the fall that guy took...if you get a chance to watch it’s pretty interesting.

what, a politician in louisiana a crook...no way. he had to keep up with every other politician in louisiana.

purkey, they said he was the first ever mayor (ex or otherwise) of New Orleans to face charges for corruption. Kind of shocked me actually. Louisiana has had some amazingly crooked politicians, think The Kingfish is the one who intrigues me the most out of all of them though.

that is surprising...I guess it's been mainly governors and senators!
