Amazon's The Boys

Is it like Avengers or whatever with the same plot in every movie and cheesy one liners, CGI and 40 minute fight scenes? Or is it dark and worth watching? Preview makes it look dark and actually has some dialogue and a story.

Very dark. Very good dialogue and story.

Much closer to Watchmen than to Avengers

You knew it would be different within the first few minutes. I won’t spoil it but not often do I jump while watching a show and be shocked, disgusted, and laugh at the same time.

"Aside from that initial scene that DChi is referring to, one of my favorite things about the series was Homelander's laser eyes cutting people in half, and his inability to fine tune his control resulting in collateral damage behind what he is aiming for. "

My favorite was when he used the baby as the weapon. I was laughing out loud

I think he’s just more impulsive than stupid. That ties in w the losing control of the lasers. When he’s in the “controlled” saves, his lasers are on point. Then the plane incident, he wasn’t expecting to see the guy in the cockpit and lost control a bit.

Great show, excited for S2.
