Agreed that Bryan Cranston is one of the most versatile actors going right now. The guy can do anything and is always spectacular in any role he chooses.
I really enjoyed his portrayal of LBJ and often forgot that I was watching an actor, but the story left me a little flat. It focused almost entirely on passing the Civil Rights bill and just seemed to gloss of the problems he had with Vietnam. If they could have spent a little more time on the war and how it drove him to not run for re-election in 1968, that would have been a more compelling movie. But not too bad in itself, thanks mostly to Mr. Cranston and his outstanding portrayal of LBJ.
