That girl is quite a lightning rod, isn’t she? Why do you suppose that is? I’m of the opinion that for the first time (second time, I forgot Bernie) a self-declared socialist has hit the spotlight. With her victory Democrat politicians who have always thought of themselves as socialists feel they can now come out of the closet. She has given them cover, she can take the flak while they annoint her as the future of the party. Personally it scares the hell out of me to contemplate what will become of our country.
It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds. AO-C (and for that matter Bernie too) have no idea how to pay for all the free stuff they are offering. They just assume a magic genie will appear to divvy out the goods. I am reminded of the video where her supporters don’t know how it will be paid for, but they have confidence that “they’ll figure it out.” How will they feel when it isn’t figured out (because it is impossible) and rationing of the promised free stuff ensues? Will they accept the usual socialist mantra that things are failing because the government doesn’t have enough control over their lives? The people of Venezuela deferred. As did the people of Cuba, China, the Soviet Union, etc. Will America willingly follow down that same path?
That’s my thinking on why she gets so much attention. She’s the canary. Will we ignore the signs?
Why are you so worried about her spending NOW? Are you aware of the current projected deficit? And don't worry Dan, like those private schools you advocate, if she wins people will just do the right thing.
I mean... this isn't rocket science. Even JB gets it.
