Air travel people

Have yet to run out of space. Usually you just have to go farther back. I can’t believe someone wants to stand there for 40 minutes to get on the plane earlier and sit cramped longer. I feel like best boarding passes should be last.

Definitely reason for boarding early is overhead bins space.

I don’t like getting on plane early, but I certainly do not want to not have space for my carry on. I travel a decent amount for work. Before airlines charged for baggage it was very rare for overhead space not to be available. Now it is a common occurance.

Case in point: Just last week my wife and I took a personal trip. Due to my status of frequent flyer on airline, I was able to board early. She did not have status and had later boarding. I took my carryon and hers when I boarded. On both flights she would have not had space in overhead bin for her carryon if I wouldn’t of taken it.

Take a flight from lga to dfw during the week. Half the plane is e-plat. If you don’t have status you will be checking your bag.

Best boarding can Board whenever they want.

For those short flight I would rather take the green tag. Larger planes won’t do that. Which sucks

Always pay for sooner boarding regardless of airline. Usually only 15-30 bucks...worth it.

FYI they'll let her board with you.

Unless you like to make her go to the back of the line, in which case, carry on.

Boarding isn’t my pet peeve. It is exiting. If you stand up when you arrive at the gate and you are in row 27, you are an a-hole. The process would be most efficient if exiting the plane was all aisle, then middle, then window. Not only that, the airlines have the baggage fees bass ackwards. They would be able to charge more if they allowed free checked bags and charged for anything more than one carry on. These two changes would cut disembarking time in half. Not that I am passionate about this or anything.

It started with the baggage fee. The other problem is the unwillingness to enforce the carryon size limitation. You see people wheeling on trunks and taking half the bin.

I agree getting off is even more stupid. People leap up and into the isle like they are somehow going to get off sooner. Worse they immediately open the overhead and yank out their fifty pound bag missing peoples faces by about two inches. And of course I'm always next to the idiot who must pull out the cell phone and call grandma to let her know they landed.
