went back and watched the last 3 minutes. A few comments, some of which were covered in other threads.
1. Absolutely love the charcoal gray unis. They look awesome, and we seem to play well in them.
2. We held their leading scorer, Grimes, to zero points. That is impressive.
3. Along those lines, all of us have been critical of the defense of our seniors. The criticism has been deserved, but they were all solid today. MB went mostly with zone D today, and that was huge. Not only did it help mask the deficiencies of the seniors, but it kept Yor out of early foul trouble. It will be interesting to see if he sticks with it as the season progresses. Could be a nice weapon, even after Ice is back.
4. That Mills kid, for UH, is a stud. Very impressed.
5. The seniors, and Yor, really buckled down in the last 3 minutes, and brought home the W. All 4 of them made multiple smart and big plays to keep Houston at arms length.
